I was thinking: maybe I can find Iomega Zip drivers for dos and give it a try on that computer. Right click Start to open Device Manager to look for the drive under Disk Drives. My wife just had windows 7 / 64 installed on her computer (she had been running XP). It still works but have some random freezing problems (probably faulty hardware). Its not dead, for Windows 7 reads it quick and easy. I copied them fine, but when plugging the HDD to my Windows 10 PC, Windows 10 fails to recognize the drive. I decided to back up my Windows 7 files from one PC and bring them to my other Windows 10 PC. If possible, try using a different USB port to rule out any port-related issues. I recently obtained a 1 TB iomega External HDD. I'll give a look at these usb zip drive, but I'm not even sure if my floppies are still working tho.ĮDIT: Another idea: I still have this Pentium 133 in the attic. Might be able to find a x1 pcie parallel card or something like that?ĮDIT: a working usb zip driv seems like th simplest solution. Do you have a parellel port header on your modern motherboard or legacy pci? It seems like it would be easier to add parallel to the PC.
